Soup Kitchen

On Jan 27th several members of First Presbyterian Church of Hartsville served up a tasty lunch at the Hartsville Soup Kitchen. The main dish was a duck bog prepared by Andy Eaddy. The bog was cooked in Andy’s big pot shown in the photos. If you ever need a BIG pot, now you know who has one! Michelle Hood (Andy’s daughter), Mary Lathan Steele, Heather Norwood and Jean Robison prepared the other parts of the meal and served it to over 80 participants.

The Hartsville Soup Kitchen is open at 11:30 AM every week day and is located at 145 E. College Ave.

Habitat for Humanity Work Day 1-18-12

Our youth and our DCE, Ms Kelly Sloan, spent a weekend recently at Camp Pee Dee. They enjoyed the ropes course, the pool and the lake and spent time planning their activities for the coming school year. Here are some photos of the weekend.

Habitat Work Day

On Saturday, Sept 17th, the FPC Habitat for Humanity Crew started on a new project at 1364 Heatley St in Hartsville. Other groups have done the wiring, plumbing, insulation and sheet rock installation. Our goal is to finish the house. On the 17th, we cleaned and painted. The next step is to install the kitchen cabinets.
